Tour Details
You will be picked up in an air-conditioned vehicle for the approximately 4-hour drive to Mount Sinai. Prepare for the trekking experience with comfortable clothes, sturdy shoes, and a small backpack with water and snacks.
Arrive at Mount Sinai (also known as Mount Moses). Begin your trek up Mount Sinai. The trek involves walking through the night, climbing approximately 750 steps to reach the summit at 2,285 meters (7,497 ft). The hike can take between 2-3 hours depending on the group’s pace. You can opt for a camel ride part of the way for an additional fee.
Once at the summit, you’ll have the chance to rest, admire the breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, and witness the magnificent sunrise. Take time to reflect, pray, or capture incredible photos of the dawn breaking over the Sinai Peninsula.
Begin your descent back down the mountain, which will take around 2 hours. Enjoy breakfast at a nearby camp or rest stop after completing the trek.
Explore the St. Catherine’s Monastery, one of the oldest functioning Christian monasteries in the world, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the monastery’s library, which holds a significant collection of ancient manuscripts, and view historical religious icons. Admire the Burning Bush (believed to be the site where Moses saw the burning bush) and other key landmarks within the monastery.
After the monastery visit, relax and unwind as you travel back to your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh. Arrive back at your hotel in the early afternoon.
