Day 01: Cairo Excursions
We will pick you up from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh in a private, air-conditioned, modern vehicle for your flight from Sharm El Sheikh to Cairo. Our Egyptologist will then accompany you on your discovery tour of the impressive Cheops pyramids, as well as the Chechen and Mykerinus pyramids, as well as the Sphinx with its pharaoh's head and the lion's body, which go back to King Chephren and the Valley Temple of the Pyramids of Chephren.
You can then have lunch at a local restaurant in Cairo before your excursion takes you to the Egyptian Museum, which houses artifacts from the Pharaoh dynasty. The museum shines with an art collection that is 5,000 years old. More than 250,000 original artifacts are on display. This includes an exhibition of the treasure of Tutankhamen. This is gold and jewelry that was locked in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was all discovered during excavations of his tomb in 1920. Then go shopping at Khan El Khalili Bazaar, the most famous market in the Middle East.
In the evening you will be transferred to Cairo Airport to fly to Luxor. There you will be met and escorted to your hotel in Luxor.
Day 02: Luxor Excursions
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel in Luxor, then travel by air-conditioned car with your English-speaking guide to Karnak Temple, the largest place of worship ever built. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading west on the Nile River to see the two massive statues of Amenhotep III (the Colossi of Memnon). Then the Valley of the Kings is on the plan, where the impressive tombs are located. You will visit 3 of the tombs except that of Tutankhamen. The excursion continues to visit the Hatshepsut Temple in El Deir El Bahary. This temple was built in honor of Queen Hatshipsut, the only female pharaoh who ruled Egypt.
NB: Most of the flights from Ssh/Cai/Ssh are indirect via Cairo Airport. The transit takes about an hour
