Day 1: hurghada to cairo tour
In the morning, we’ll take you from your hotel in Hurghada to the Hurghada International Airport from where you’ll fly to Cairo. Upon your arrival in Cairo, our tour representative will meet you and accompany you during your 2-day trip. The tour will start with the visit to the famous Giza Pyramids and then, the Great Sphinx which is a mysterious figure with a human head and lion’s body. Later, hike over to the pyramids where the tombs of the Pharaohs are built. After having lunch near the Nile River, you’ll head to the world-famous Egyptian Museum. This museum houses over 250,000 historical masterpieces and the Tutankhamen's treasures of jewels and gold. After visiting these amazing sites, the private minibus will take you to the airport from where you’ll fly to Luxor. In Luxor, you’ll be transferred to your hotel and enjoy leisure time at the on-site restaurant (at your own expenses). You can choose any 5-star hotel: Steigenberger Nile Palace, Sonesta St. George, or the Karnak Resort to stay.
Day 2: Luxor Tours / return to Hurghada
After breakfast, our tour guide will take you to visit the Valley of the Kings which houses three richly decorated tombs of the most famous Egyptian Pharaohs of New Kingdom. Continue to the Queen Hatshepsut Temple, the wonderful temple dedicated to the only Egyptian queen. After staying for some time at the Colossi of Memnon, you’ll enjoy classic Egyptian meal near the Nile River. After that, continue to the Karnak temple complex housing 3 inner temples dedicated to the god Amun, Mut and Khonsu. Follow the Sphinx Allee inside the complex and admire the Great Hall and the Great Portico which has 134 monumental pillars forming a dense forest. See the Holy Lake where pharaohs were used to wash. While you stay in Luxor, you can also take a short sailing trip on a felucca on the Nile River. At the end of your 2-day trip, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Hurghada.
