Tour Details

The tour starts with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Hurghada. The journey takes around 3.5 to 4 hours by road, providing scenic views of the Egyptian desert along the way. The first stop in Luxor is the majestic Karnak Temple, one of the largest religious buildings ever constructed. Its massive columns, statues, and obelisks are impressive, showcasing the grandeur of Ancient Egypt. After the Karnak Temple visit, you'll enjoy a relaxing meal at a local restaurant, giving you a taste of authentic Egyptian cuisine.

Optional Nile Boat Ride: You can opt to take a traditional Egyptian motorboat (a felucca) to cross the Nile River, adding a serene and scenic touch to the day’s activities.

On the west bank of the Nile, you'll witness the towering Colossi of Memnon. These massive stone statues were part of the mortuary temple of Pharaoh Amenhotep III.  Explore the Valley of the Kings, home to the tombs of numerous pharaohs, including the famous tomb of Tutankhamun. The intricate artwork inside the tombs offers a glimpse into Ancient Egypt's beliefs about the afterlife. The tour continues with a visit to the stunning Temple of Hatshepsut, dedicated to one of Egypt’s few female pharaohs. The temple’s architecture is striking, with terraces rising out of the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari.

After the day’s explorations, you’ll return to Hurghada unless you’ve chosen the one-way option, which allows you to stay in Luxor if you prefer to continue exploring on your own.

We had a wonderful day in Luxor, the contact beforehand was very smooth and we received all the information in time. The guide Nana was the best, she took good care of her 'kids'. She was very knowledgeable and the sights were AMAZING. We visited Karnak, boat ride on the Nile, good lunch and finally the valley of the Kings and Temple of Hatsjepsoet, ended with a quick photostop at the colossus of Memnom. We were back in the hotel at the predicted time. Only thing they can skip is the Alabaster shop, they were pretty pushy.

The tour in Cairo was great. The tour guide picked us up from the airport. After that we went to the Egyptian Museum where he was very knowledgeable about Egyptian history and learned a lot from it. After the museum we had lunch and visited the pyramids. In short, it was all worth it.

Our guide, Hani Mahmoud, was very helpful and informative. He was good company and fun. crazy ways. Maybe the day can start later and go to the pyramids, museum and light shows. My wife was hoping to see the souks of Cairo but was delighted by how the day ended with an amazing light show of the pyramids and the Sphinx. Overall, it was a magical experience and I felt completely safe.

The tour was excellently organized, many highlights of Cairo were shown in a short time and the fun was not neglected (Nile cruise, bazaar visit) The guide was very competent and led the group with a lot of commitment. Absolutely gorgeous and highly recommended

Great excursion! You visit a piece of history of all Egypt. The guide and the driver were professional and offered us an articulated and very interesting day

This must have seen yourself. Everything was very well organized. On pick up at the hotel until we got back. Highly recommended. Top organisation

  • Beate

Although the journey was lengthier than anticipated and we made additional pitstops at hotels, it ultimately proved to be rewarding. Our guide in Luxor, Nara, was exceptional as she possessed both a high level of professionalism and a great sense of humor. Furthermore, she provided us with just the right amount of information - enough to give us a basic understanding without overwhelming us with unnecessary details. We are extremely pleased with the entire experience.

It was a very nice and eventful trip. The 5 hour bus ride there and back is of course a bit tiring but the sights make up for it. :) You get to know Egypt very well and I can highly recommend the tour. ;) Many thanks to the organizer FTS Travels Hurghada :*

  • Edelmann

Great day (albeit very long) in Luxor! Our guide was very nice and his explanations very clear, we were a group of 12 in total left in 2 vans and the organization was very well run! I recommend

  • Nadine

The Luxor and Valley of Kings were truly sensational, and are a definite must-see attraction when visiting Egypt. Our enthusiastic guide Nana made our experience even more enjoyable with her warm greetings and engaging energy. She shared with us the fascinating stories of the royal families, the intriguing crypts, the impressive buildings, and the hardworking laborers involved in these historic sites. Overall, our visit was exceptional thanks to Nana's guidance. Nana is a kind and helpful individual who excels in the art of storytelling.

  • Auer

Very knowledgeable & friendly guide. We had wonderful day which was well planned, including the boat trip. Only the food in the restaurant could have been better prepared. Overall we are very pleased with the day trip to Luxor.

  • Nazirrian

Great scenes! You will be prompted to include more activities, such as a "Papyrus Museum", an alabaster workshop, a cruise, where you are invited to spend time. This is not necessarily a problem but it does make the journey considerably longer and stressful. As the program is full, be prepared to rush along the frostbite. Don't just take your breakfast box with you, but also take extra food in the evening and snacks. Water is available.

  • Bernd

One of the best tours I've been on while traveling because of the guide and itinerary. Our guide was patient, knowledgeable and very protective of the group. He made the experience really enjoyable and created a friendly atmosphere. The tour itself was also great; It seemed like at every stop after lunch we would get snacks or sweets and always cold water available.

  • Emeline

Merci à Shadia pour la belle journée passée en sa compagnie. Souvenirs inoubliables. Très professionnelle.

  • Rader Tamburrini

Thanks to Shadia for this wonderful moment, thank you for sharing all her knowledge and passion with us. You made one of our dreams come true, it was magical, thank you so much

  • Daisy Moore

What a wonderful time we had in Egypt - although tiring, we enjoyed every minute. The valley of the kings and the Luxor Temple were our favourites. Our guide was excellent, so passionate about Egypt and his work. We certainly recommend this amazing tour. Thank you so much for all your help!

  • Nicky Bosworth

Fantastic experience with a lot of history. There were several graves, among which we chose to enter the graves of Ramses IX, Ramses IV and one more. We also enter the tomb of Tutankhamen (additional fee), which is the only grave where the mummy is still inside. Entering the graves is like traveling to the past when the pharaohs reigned in Egypt. The Valley of the Kings is absolutely impressive and worth a visit (even with 5 hours by bus to and from Luxor).

  • Julianne Collins

We had the best experience ever! Thank you for your service, was warming and professional.
