Day 1 Cairo Egypt Pyramid tour & Egyptian Museum

The long-lasted capital for thousands of years. Cairo has witnessed the oldest civilization on earth in addition to great four civilizations worldwide; Greek, Roman, Coptic and Islamic. What you are going to explore in your single day is the oldest one of them. You are going to explore the Pharaohs’ civilization.

Port pick up
Bingo! Your ship harbored at Port Said. If you have “me time” of two days, this guided tour is the very thing. Our modern bus will be parking in front of the exit door of the port and our rep will be waiting for you holding a sign of your name. Ascend the bus and enjoy the cool drinks served to you on board during your journey to do Overnight to Egypt Pyramids Trip & Alexandria from Port Said

To the Egyptian Museum
We are driving now to Tahrir square, to Museum of the Egyptian Antiquities respectively. Since its opening in 1902 the Egyptian Museum receives every day new extensive monuments from the three kingdoms of the Pharaoh’s era till the artifacts reach now 160.000 items on view. Go around the two floors of the fabled building and touch the greatness of the ancestors by yourself. Of course we concern the shining golden collection of the Boy King Tut-Ench-Amun in the upper floor. But do not spend your short time in one place; try to drag yourself out of that magical room to have a chance of seeing other treasures.

Egyptian lunch
Because of the successive civilizations on Egypt, the Egyptian food tastes a mixture of the traditional meals of all of them. Try it by yourself and tell us, do you like it?

The Three Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx
Let’s hurry to the hot spot of Cairo and Egypt. It is the three miracles/pyramids of Giza. Whatever they are, tombs or astronomical observatory, they catch attention of all people either scientist or the ordinary people. Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos have built the three massive pyramids and the Sphinx 5000 years ago. The sphinx is a huge statue sculptured of pharaoh’s head and lion’s body and was built by Chephren. Touch the power and genuine of the ancient Egyptians and experience the most complicated structure in the ancient and new world.
Never look a gift horse in the mouth! Our usual offer in all pyramids’ excursions is included here as well. 15 minutes of camel riding for free in the Pyramids’ zone allow you to take your time in exploring the vast valley.

B & B service
Enjoy half board accommodation at a 5* hotel. You will spend a luxurious night in a grand room and have an excellent dinner. Provided with all facilities, choose what to do until morning but do not forget to give your body some rest. Good night!

Day 2 Alexandria day Tour

While Cairo is the “city of thousand minarets”, exists Alex “the Pearl of the Mediterranean”. And if Cairo was the capital of the Pharaoh’s Egypt, Alex was the capital for few centuries in the Ptolemy time and extended to the Roman. Explore Alexandria, explore the history.

Bibliotheca Alexandrina
Wake up! Change your cloth and go down stairs to have your breakfast. We have to really travel to Alex. Let’s begin with the miracle of the new world. As the biggest reading hall in the world it consists of 11 floors (7 reading floors), 4 museums and 12 permanently exhibits. The main building, the planetarium and the conference center are formed together like the solar system. Listen to the free panorama tours in different languages inside to know more about the old library and the new one. See how the library resurrected and know the circumstances of being rebuilt and financed. At the end for your tour, stand at the Callimachus Triangle to take an extensive photo for the entire library.

The citadel of Qaitbay
Continue along the coast of the Mediterranean to a land line extended in the sea like a tongue. At the eastern tip of that peninsula one can see the citadel from any part along the coast. Remarkably, that “distinct” place was the same of the Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Old World, six centuries ago. Therefore it is strongly thought that the stones of the citadel are the same of the destroyed lighthouse. Wander through the creative building of the Mameluks heritage and watch the view of the sea and the ships harbored from the small windows dug in the wall.

“Alexandrian” lunch
Have a fish for lunch that freshly fished from the sea and cooked specially for you on the Alexandrian way at an excellent restaurant where you will relax and have some rest while listening to a quiet music.

The Catacombs of Kom El Shuqafa
A Roman heritage remained in Alex. A little far from the Sea we are heading now. The Catacombs of Kom El Shuqafa is the largest and most important burial site dating back to the Greco Roman Period. So it is considered as one of the Seven Wonders of the medieval World. FYI it was disappeared for ages until it was unearthed by coincidence in the beginning of the 20th century. Walk through the six-pillared central shaft which opens off the vestibule. Compare the Roman tombs with the pharaohs’ one you have visited the day before. Of course there must be difference but remember, both of them are wonders!

The Pompey’s Pillar
Our tour in Alex has not ended. You have not been offered yet. What about going to the Pillar’s Pompey at the east of the catacombs? Another Roman heritage which considered the largest memorial column in Egypt as it was built of the red granite with total height of 28 m and width of 27 m. Back as far as your camera allows to take an extensive picture of the long building.

Port drop off
Back to your bus for the last time to drive to Port Said. Spend time chatting with your friend and have look to the photos taken during the both days. We hope that your trip meets your delight. We would be pleased if you advise with feedback to guarantee the best service. Bon voyage!
