Start your day trips from Luxor to Abydos and Dendera Temples by traveling from your hotel in Luxor for around 3 hours to visit the Temple of Seti I at Abydos. Located in Abydos City, the ancient Egyptians believed that the Lord of the underworld was buried here. Dedicated to seven deities, the temple has some of the most amazing scenes to admire. On the back of the temple is Osireion where ancient Egyptians believed that the heart or head of Osirion was thrown. It is an impressive building with a watery nature in its inception, as it was established on ancient underground water springs and is located behind the Temple of Seti I at a low level of 18 meters.The temples in Luxor and Aswan are among the greatest temples in the world.
Later on, head towards Dendera to see the Temple of Hathor, dedicated to the goddess of love and joy. It is one of the few Egyptian temples with intact amazing astronomical scenes on the ceiling. Lastly, we’ll drive you back to your hotel in Luxor.
