Tour Details

If you are interested in visiting Wadi Natroun with its Coptic monasteries, We offers you a nice trip to  Wadi El-Natrun monasteries from Cairo Tours. 
 
You will be picked up from your hotel by our German speaking tour guide. Then you will be driven to Wadi Natroun, which is on the desert road between Cairoand Alexandria lies. At one time there were around 50 Christian monasteries, of which only 4 have survived. You start the tours with the Deir Al-Baramus, the oldest and most remote monastery. You will then be taken to Deir Anba Bishoi Monastery. The tour ends with a visit to the Deir el - Suryani monastery, the smallest of the four monasteries. You will then be driven back to your hotel in Cairo.

    Visiting the monasteries in wadi natrun is a very interesting experience, seeing historic churches with amazing wall frescoes with their old vivid colors and learn about the rich Coptic heritage, and also the beauty landscope during the trip, highly recommended.
