Next is the close-up look at the Great Sphinx of Giza (the largest statue in the world) and the Valley Temple (the ancient mummification complex). Once we are done at pyramids complex, we’ll head to a local restaurant for lunch. After that, you’ll continue your tour to the Egyptian Museum – the world’s largest museum housing the most precious collection of Egyptian art. More than 250,000 genuine artifacts are displayed, including an exhibit of Tutankhamen collection of treasure which was enclosed in his grave for over 3500 years before the grave excavation. Waziri Papyrus I is the first and largest papyrus in hieratic script was found in Saqqara. This papyrus is a book of the dead of Ahmose written in hieratic script and dates back to the beginning of the Ptolemaic era (300 BC).
Head to Islamic Cairo to explore Cairo’s most famous and ancient bazaar Khan El Khalili. At the end of the tour, you’ll be transferred back to Cairo International Airport.
