Day 1: Cairo Trip to Pyramids, Memphis & Sakkara

Port pick up
Upon the ship arrival time our representative will be waiting for you in the exit door. Greet your group and ascend the air-conditioned bus on your way to Cairo Trip to Pyramids. Refresh yourself with the cool drinks and bottled water served to you on board.

The Three Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx
One full day among the Three Pyramids, the Sphinx and the Temple Valley allows you to take a grand tour around the massive monument. Welcome to the “Pole Star” of Egypt and, by the way, we do not exaggerate when we call it the Pole Star; Aligned True North, The Great Pyramid is the most accurately aligned structure in existence and faces true north with only 3/60th of a degree of error. The position of the North Pole moves over time and the pyramid was exactly aligned at one time. That’s way the idea of that the Great Pyramids has been built for astronomical observatory dominates the minds of scientists nowadays. Your neck will hurt you if you try to raise your eyes to the top of the Pyramid. So get back as far as possible if you like to take an extensive photo of the three pyramids. The Sphinx, shaped of Pharaoh’s head and lion’s body, will be shown in the photo indeed. It dates back to the time of the King Chephren, who built the second pyramid as well. Ask yourself once time who was standing in your place 5000 years ago!

The Pyramid of Zoser
Another Pyramid in Cairo. Maybe the single pyramid is less famous than the other three but it has its own value of being the first Egyptian Pyramid as it dates back to 2675 BC. Observe how the Steppyramid seems to be composed of a series of mastabas, each smaller and stacked on top of each other. Try to climb it, maybe you succeed who knows?

As usual in all our excursions to Cairo, 15 min of camel riding are freely on hand. Take an advantage of it and have some rest because your legs and back must be hurting after long walking in the vast valley. It will be indeed easier now to raise your hand holding your camera and take photos from an upper view.

Lunch time
Because the Egyptian food is what interests our guests first, we serve to you a quality selection of our menu. Taste the Egyptian food at a local high-quality restaurant. Have some rest and cool yourself in the air-conditioned restaurant. Away from what our guests think of our food, we care a lot for your personal opinion.

Accommodation
We are now going home. Your home for tonight is a luxurious 5* hotel with all facilities of enjoying and relaxing. Have your dinner and select something to do. Swim in the basin, walk in the garden or sleep well in a deluxe room to recover your body and be ready for the next day. Happy dreams!

Day 2: Egyptian Museum & Old Cairo tour

The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities
Wake up. Change your clothes and have your breakfast in hotel. Head directly to Tahrir Square. Your bus will park in front of the entrance of the Egyptian Museum. Beside the huge tombs of the pyramids; the Egyptian Museum contains also its own royal tombs. Two floors of 107 halls houses more than 120,000 statuettes, paintings, papyrus documents, jewelry, clothing and portraits. Maybe more because many new archaeological sites have been discovered every day.

Egyptian lunch
Like the day before, we will stop at an excellent-service restaurant to have lunch. Taste another Egyptian food and tell us what’s different and which is better?!

The Citadel of Salah Din
Turn to the most popular scenic spots in Cairo. Located on the Mokattam Hill, it has a grand view of the Old Cairo. Even the Pyramids are shown in your photos. Its historical importance dates back the 12th century when it was constructed by Sultan Salah Din, one of the iconic figures in the Egyptian as well as Arab history, to defend Egypt against the Crusaders. It was the heart of the Egyptian government till the 19th century. What most astonished in it is the 85 m deep water supplier of Well of Joseph, which is remained until today. Wander through the high citadel and its extensions of four museums and two mosques: Al-Gawhara Palace Museum, Carriage Museum, Egyptian Military Museum and the Egyptian Police Museum as well as the Mosques of Mohammed Ali and Sultan Qalawun. Explore!

Khan Khalili Market
Free time now to explore the most popular bazaar and the oldest Market in the Middle East. Move around the colorful dynamic crowded and full-of-goods place. Buy or just watch the traditional clothes, jewelry, carpets, statutes, pottery and other handworks. Khan Khalili Market is traditional, various and cheap.

Port drop off

I had a great day visiting the pyramids - Mohammed and the guide were super and really helped me see everything. When a confusion on the type of activities was discovered they adapted really well and proposed a reasonable compromise. I recommend them highly.
